6 Strikes Using Hikite Pull The Opponent Onto The Strikes

Here is a shotokan karate follow along class working on six strikes using the hikite arm as a powerful grab and pull on all six karate techniques.

1. Start from a left leg fighting stance, drive off the back right leg and punch Gyaku zuki (reverse punch).
2. While pulling again with the same hikite arm, punch Tate Zuki (vertical punch).
3. While pulling again with the same hikite arm, punch Ura zuki (uppercut punch) with the right arm.

4. While pulling again with the same hikite arm, pull the front left leg back and step forward with the right leg and strike mae empi (forward elbow).
5. While pulling again with the same hikite arm, strike mawashi empi (round elbow).
6.  While pulling again with the same hikite arm, strike yoko empi (side elbow).

These short classes are designed for karateka to practice at home. We try to cram as much information as possible into each karate class and hope you enjoy them. Oss!
