Unsu! Probably the most difficult Shotokan kata, both physically and technically. A very dynamic kata, transferring from slow karate moves into extremely explosive karate techniques and combinations. There are twists, turns, spins, a jump up and a jump down! to the ground. Lots of different strikes and kicks, numerous stances including Zenkutsu dachi, kiba dachi, Neko ashi dachi, fudo dachi and sanshin dachi, which are all utilised within unsu.

Unsu is indeed an amazing Kata, but how do you see yours and others Unsu and who do you think the Shotokan world should look up to in terms of a guiding beacon for the practice of Unsu?

Actually to be honest i have completed two grading from sko dojo and I have to say this sensei huckle is doing his best to teach his online student and the techn̈iques he teaches is perfect for self deffence as I have a karate experience little bit I know this class is thè best to whom that looking to be a good martial artist and a black belter. I’ve been doing karate for 1/3 of my life, training in a dojo for 3 - 4 years and outside of a dojo for 5+ years at home, I’ve tried joining other dojos and they couldn’t accommodate my work schedule, I ended up finding SKO and the resources have been great!
