Advanced Karate Zoom Class – Kime Training (Part 2) – 05-06-21
In this live karate class,we again focus on Kime (to decide).
In this second part of the live karate class, Sensei Amos applies kime to oi tsuki, then sanbon tsuki. After working on the basic stop of each punch, Sensei Amos thenworks on oi tsuki snapping and finishing the class with sanbon tsuki snapping.
On the completion of every karate technique at speed we apply kime. So what is kime?
Kime 決め comes from the japanese word Kimeru – to decide, to conclude, to set, or as my Sensei would say, to stop (the technique.
Sensei also works on the advanced concept of applying kime on snapping punches.
