6 Strikes 25 Minute Follow Along Karate Class

This follow along karate class consists of several 2 minute rounds, where we start with kizami zuki for two minutes, then repeat on the other side. We then add gyaku zuki, so the next two rounds consist of kizami zuki, gyaku zuki on each side.

For the third set of rounds we add ura zuki (upper cut).

The fourth set of rounds we add kage zuki (hook punch)

Then for the final round we add uraken uchi (backfist strike) and kage zuki (hook punch).

This follow along class is not a typical Shotokan karate class, but it’s excellent at working on flow.

We do not use any hikite in this class, instead we keep the arms up in a fighting stance.
